Shawanda Gweneth Williams

January 2, 1968 — May 5, 2020

Shawanda “Dip” Williams was born to the loving parents of Arthur Lee Albright (deceased) and Linda Faye Williams (deceased) in Houston, TX. She attended HISD public schools and graduated from Phillis Wheatly High School. She later attended Texas Southern University. She was baptized at an early age at First Mount Olive Baptist Church and later became a member at The Fountain of Love Church under the leadership of Pastor McKenzie Himes Sr. 

Shawanda had a career in the medical field for many years, which focused on giving back to others. She supported her community by volunteering with various non profits organizations and alumni events. She served as a home health care provider and was currently employed at UT Health Science as a Patient Access Representative. 

 

 

On May 5, 2020 she went to her heavenly home. She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur Lee Albright and Linda Faye Williams, also her grandmother Bessie Mae Johnson. Shawanda leaves her legacy one son and one daughter Demail Anthony Hensley and Quiwanna LaShaye Williams, grandchild Coriyana Don’Shaye Perkins. Two brothers Craig Williams (Chantel) ,Robert Williams, & Johnathan Albright. One sister Arthia Albright. Nieces and Nephews Tra’Neshia, Ja'Quann, Jayla, Craig Jr. and Jeremy. Great nieces and nephews Qynmora, Jy'Keise, Ray'len and King. Lifelong friends Daphne Wright, Dineta Foote- Frazier and Marquette Morris. And a host of aunts, cousins, and close friends.
