Clifford Stoot, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on April 3, 2025, in Katy, Texas, at the age of 88. Born on May 15, 1936, in Opelousas, Louisiana, Clifford was known for his unwavering dedication and love for his family. He devoted 30 years of his life to the Southern Pacific Railroad, where he earned respect not only as a hard worker but also as a person of great character and kindness.
Clifford is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Mike-Stoot, and their three daughters, Sheila, Debra, and Sherri. He also leaves behind two sons-in-law, Jerald Goffney Sr. and Wiley Blair, along with a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will cherish his memory dearly, alongside numerous nieces and nephews who were touched by his warmth and guidance.
In his lifetime, Clifford touched the hearts of many with his gentle spirit and nurturing ways. He instilled values of love and perseverance in his family, leaving a legacy that will carry on through generations. His passing leaves a void that will be felt by all who had the privilege to know him.
Clifford will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will forever linger among those he loved.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Felix Stoot Sr. and Josephine Savoy-Stoot, his stepdaughter Joyce Mike, and siblings John, Felix Jr., Gussie, Louis, Leona, Dorothy Stoot-Hopper, and Beatrice Stoot-Thomas. He is also reunited with son-in-law Ricky Francis.
